  5. QuickExplore
  6. ============
  7. A little utility which (primarily) gives you access to all the drives on your 
  8. system from the Windows 95 task bar notification area.  It currently features...
  9.  
  10. From the left mouse button:
  11.     *** A list of drives on the system
  12. From the right mouse button:
  13.     *** A list of drives on the system via a sub-menu
  14.     *** Open the contents of your desktop folder (non-system items)
  15.     as a window.  This saves having to minimize all open windows to gain
  16.     access to the desktop.
  17.     *** Access to the Save Settings On Exit feature that we all loved
  18.     in previous versions of Windows.  This means that you can CHOOSE when
  19.     to save the layout of your desktop.  Once you have achieved your 
  20.     ideal desktop layout, turn the switch off and future closure of 
  21.     Windows will leave your desktop alone until you turn the switch 
  22.     back on again.
  23.     *** Customize QuickExplore option
  24.     *** Access to the printer properties for the default printer
  25.     *** Up to ten custom applications which may be chosen using the 
  26.     Customize QuickExplore option

  47. Installation
  48. ============
  49. Unzip the QE.ZIP member into a temporary folder.
  50. Create a new folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\QuickExplore) and move
  51. QuickExplore.exe and QuickExploreC.exe into it.
  52. Run QuickExplore.exe to place it on the task bar - it can be automatically
  53. loaded at Windows startup through an option in QuickExploreC.

  55. NOTE: This product required MFC40.DLL in your Windows/System folder.

  57. Disclaimer

  60. QuickExplore is a SHAREWARE program, which does not mean that it is free.
  61. You can use it free of charge for 30 days in order to evaluate it.  If during
  62. this period you decide that it's pretty cool and you want to go on using it,
  63. please register it.  It doesn't cost much.  Your registration will support work
  64. on future versions, possible new features and the odd bug fix or two.  It will also 
  65. provide you with technical support via email.  One time registration entitles 
  66. you to use any future versions.

  68. The non-registered version of the product may be freely distributed in its
  69. original form so long as it is not being used as part of a profit generating 
  70. activity, even if it is being distributed freely.  If you would like to 
  71. distribute QuickExplore as part of a magazine, CD ROM etc etc then please
  72. contact me first.

  77. The QuickExplore distribution files may not have files added to it or removed 
  78. from it, nor should any of the files therein be altered in any way.
